On the eve of World Multiple Sclerosis Day, which is celebrated every year on May 30, an open panel discussion was held in Kyiv dedicated to the problems of multiple sclerosis patients in Ukraine.

May 28 - public dialogue on the topic: "Multiple sclerosis: an era of new treatment options in Ukraine. Are we ready for it?"

Multiple sclerosis: absolutely everyone is at risk... In Ukraine, due to lack of access to proper treatment, 88% of patients with multiple sclerosis have disabilities - this figure is twice as high as in Europe. The disease significantly affects the quality of life of patients

The causes of multiple sclerosis are still unknown, so absolutely everyone is at risk. Here are some important facts about this disease that everyone should know.

I just wanted it all to stop. Panic attacks are hard, your whole mind is screaming, "You're going to die now."

Living a full life with multiple sclerosis (MS): Ukrainian patient community joins World MS Day

Under quarantine, it is becoming increasingly difficult to get treatment: there is no regular transport, hospitals are closing, and planned hospitalizations have been canceled. "Apostrophe" found out how those who are not sick with coronavirus have to survive.

I don't know if I will be able to see a doctor during quarantine, as the fourth hospital is now being repurposed for COVID-19 patients.

Video report. Multiple sclerosis is usually associated with older people. However, this disease manifests itself at a young age and requires a visit to a doctor for a diagnosis, as well as continuous treatment to prevent progression.
